Having suffered from dental trauma as a child, Dr. Lauren Jacobsen is committed to providing exceptional dental care in a gentle and anxiety-free manner. She has a passion for implementing and offering state-of-the-art technology to allow for better treatment outcomes, making patients happier and healthier.
Dr. Lauren Jacobsen is an active member of the dental community and engages in further education and training through membership with a local chapter of the Seattle Study Club and Spear Education courses. She is currently acquiring her fellowship through the Academy of General Dentistry.

DR. LAUREN JACOBSEN, D.M.D.
A Chicago native, Dr. Lauren Jacobsen completed her Bachelor of Science in sunny Arizona where she continued on to earn her doctorate in Dental Medicine. Not willing to trade out the sunshine and warmth for Midwest winters, Dr. Jacobsen moved to downtown Austin and has called it home ever since.
Outside of her dental suite, Dr. Lauren Jacobsen enjoys running along Lady bird Lake and hopes to one day run a marathon. She stays true to her hometown pride by watching her beloved Chicago Bears.
After experiencing dental trauma as a child, Dr. Jacobsen was inspired to help others in the same way that her dentist helped her, in a caring, safe, and shame-free manner.
Growing up, Dr. Jacobsen interned in the office of a neighbor who managed her own dental practice. It was there that she not only learned about dentistry but about how to create the best possible patient experience. After completing her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, Dr. Jacobsen earned her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Jacobsen started Toothbar because she saw a demand in the community for comprehensive care from the “shoulders up.” She lives and works downtown, which allows her to easily relate to and address the needs of her clientele.
She’s very active in the Austin dental community and runs her own study club with other dentists who focus on putting the patient first. This group ensures that they are knowledgeable about the best products and treatments on the market.
